1006 CE Supernova

In AAC.2002, anti-Christian atheist polemicist Brian Holtz says that the Christmas star, Jesus' triumphal entry, Good Friday earthquake, Good Friday saints, Good Friday darkness "in fact went unnoticed by every non-Christian writer, including the historians Seneca and Pliny the Elder. Contrast this with the supernova of 1006CE that was noted in China, Egypt, Iraq, Italy, Japan, and Switzerland." More on this argument from silence will be discussed at a later time. However, in the mean time, this contrast seems invalid: the supernova occurred in 1006CE, a millennium later, when literacy was much more common and paper constraints, etc, and other extenuating circumstances in Jesus' time were not there.
