Proof of Immortality, i.e., the Afterlife

Weak and fallacious arguments for immortality must be discarded by serious theists. These weaker arguments include the arguments from:
  • universal belief
  • innate knowledge
  • the soul as life principle (Phaedo by Plato [1])
  • immaterial soul
  • near-death experiences
  • mystical visions
  • communication with the dead
  • purpose for life

However, there are several good arguments for immorality.

  • Christ's resurrection [2]
  • the existence of a personal God [3]
  • God's love
  • ultimate justice
  • moral duty
