On Mind-Brain Dependence

Mind is reducible to matter, i.e., mind is reducible to the brain and cannot exist without it

Our experience of human freedom suggests that minds are not just reducible to the brain or causally dependent upon it, according to Dr. Norman L. Geisler's Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics.

Also, we know that mind is not dependent on the brain because God is immaterial and exists as a sentient being. There have been plenty of miracles worked by the saints, including lots of angelic miracles,{1} and the angels have no brain because they are naturally incorporeal.
